On the online gift voucher sales platform, it is possible to purchase an accommodation package–type voucher, where the guest can customize the voucher parameters (number of nights, number of guests, room type, weekend availability). The recipient can then redeem the purchased voucher through the online booking interface. This allows, for example, vouchers sold in large quantities during Black Friday to be booked online by guests, eliminating the need for the accommodation to manually process redemptions offline.
On the admin side, such a new accommodation package–type gift voucher can be linked to a fixed-price package. As a result, when the guest enters the unique voucher code in the “promo code” field on the booking interface, they will see this fixed-price package displayed on the rooms and rates page. In this case, only this fixed-price package will appear — other public rates that are normally available will not — while the room type’s availability will, of course, still be taken into account. For any room types or occupancies for which the hotel has not defined a price in the linked fixed package, those room types will not appear in the search results.
Adding a fixed-price package
The fixed-price package linked to the voucher can be created in the same way as other packages, with identical settings. However, it is very important that the following conditions are met:
The promotional code can be defined in the voucher settings, which also allows access via a parameterized link. If you would like to use a parameterized URL, please contact our customer service team. (The fixed-price package linked to a voucher cannot be protected with a promotional code.)
For security reasons, the fixed package linked to the voucher cannot be connected to any integration, to prevent prices or restrictions from being accidentally imported from the channel manager. Such bookings will appear in the PMS under the BAR rate code, which can be manually adjusted.
If the property wishes to modify the package prices (e.g., for tiered Black Friday vouchers), we recommend duplicating the fixed-price package linked to the voucher and setting the higher prices in the new package. The voucher should also be duplicated, and the new voucher and package must be linked together.
We recommend that the package linked to the voucher should not be connected to any loyalty discounts. This ensures that guests will not receive additional loyalty discounts on any surcharges (e.g., for extra nights, more guests, or higher room categories) beyond the voucher’s value.
For weekend surcharges, only Friday and/or Saturday can be set. In this case, a “Weekend surcharge” option will appear during voucher purchase, allowing the voucher to be redeemed for weekend stays (if the fix priced package is configured as available on weekends in the Planning menu).
If you would like to present a price different from the default one to interested customers on the voucher purchase page, enable the Optional custom price display setting under the details of the fixed-price package.
Creating an Online Redeemable Customizable Voucher
After creating the fix priced package linked to the voucher, you can create the new type of voucher. In the voucher settings, under the “Type and pricing” section, a new option will appear: “Online redeemable fixed type voucher”.
From the drop-down menu, you can select the appropriate fix priced package already existing in the system. This is how the system will recognize that the serial numbers of such purchased vouchers must also function as promo codes on the booking interface.
IMPORTANT! Only an activated fix priced package can be linked to a voucher. Therefore, the fix priced package must be activated immediately before linking it to the voucher. After linking, the fix priced package will not appear publicly on the booking interface — it will only be used by the system for price calculation during voucher redemption.
If, when redeeming the voucher, the guest books exactly the same length of stay, number of guests, and room type as specified on the voucher, the room price will be displayed as 0 HUF.
The prices defined in the details of the fix priced package (optionally) also apply to:
higher room categories,
extension nights,
weekend surcharges, and
child rates.
This means that when redeeming a voucher for, for example, 2 nights for 2 adults, the guest can extend the stay to 3 nights by paying the price difference (if the linked fixed package allows up to 3 nights and has an extension rate defined), or book for 2 adults + 1 child (if a child rate is set), or choose a higher room category.
In such cases, the extra payable amount will appear instead of the room rate for each applicable room type, and the guest must pay the remaining balance according to the payment terms set in the package details (e.g., 100% prepayment).
IMPORTANT! For security reasons, the fix priced package linked to a voucher cannot be connected to any integration. Such bookings will always appear in the PMS under the BAR rate code, which can be modified manually if needed.

The voucher description should match the description of the fixed-price package, and it is important that it does not include information about the length of stay, number of guests, or room type, as these parameters can be individually customized by the guest when purchasing the voucher. Additionally, during redemption, the guest may book for different parameters (nights, number of guests, or room type) than those originally specified in the voucher.
Voucher display on the interface
Unlike other vouchers, here the guest can individually customize the contents of the voucher. They can specify the number of adults and children, select the desired room type, and indicate whether the voucher should also be valid for weekend stays (if the fix priced package linked to the voucher includes a surcharge for Friday and/or Saturday nights).
Redeeming the Voucher
The guest can redeem the gift voucher by entering the voucher ID into the promotional code field. This information is provided in the confirmation email. Alternatively, the guest can scan the QR code found on the emailed voucher or click the booking reference link in the PDF, which will take them directly to the booking interface with the promotional code field automatically filled in with the voucher’s serial number.
This way, there is no need to manually enter the voucher ID in the promotional code field on the interface.
When the guest clicks on the voucher ID, the preconfigured details will be displayed for them, after selecting the date:
If the guest makes a booking that does not match the parameters of the voucher, a warning message will appear on the interface:
In this case, the public rates will be displayed on the interface.
If the guest books a stay of higher value than what the voucher covers (for example, more guests, a higher room category, or more nights), an informational tooltip message will appear next to the payable surcharge to notify them of this.
In the Personal data step of the booking process, the redeemed voucher number and any additional charges applied will be displayed, such as extra services, additional nights, number of guests, or weekend surcharges.
In other words, the person receiving the gift will not see the exact value of the gift voucher, even during the redemption process.
Display in the admin interface – purchased vouchers, modification, and cancellation options
The purchased vouchers appear in the same section as the other voucher types. If the guest chooses to pay for the voucher by bank transfer, it will appear under the Paid / Pending menu. A voucher can only be redeemed after payment has been completed.
If the voucher was paid online immediately at the time of purchase, the recipient can make a booking right away using the received gift voucher PDF.
When redeeming a voucher, the confirmation sent to the guest does not allow modification or cancellation of the booking. However, the property can still make these changes through the admin interface.

Booking modification and cancellation
When modifying a booking, the system will ask whether you would like to make the voucher used for the booking reusable. The same prompt will appear in the case of a cancellation.
If “Yes” is selected, the accommodation user will have the option to modify or rebook the reservation using the same voucher again.
