Thank you for your interest in the RESnWEB - YieldPlanet connection, which allows you to manage RESnWEB as a sales channel through YieldPlanet channel manager. This integration allows the automatic transfer of bookings made on RESnWEB booking engine to the accommodation's PMS (Property Management System or front office system) and RESnWEB will get the prices, restrictions and allotments (number of rooms can be sold) from YieldPlanet.

In case of RESnWEB - YieldPlanet integration, multiple rates connection is established between the two systems.

At multiple rates connection all rates set on RESnWEB are connected to the corresponding rate on YieldPlanet extranet, thus the RESnWEB receives adult prices from YiledPlanet for all connected rate including daily rate, packages from BAR and fix priced packages as well. Children rates can still be set on RESnWEB extranet for greater flexibility.

If you are not using YieldPlanet, you can find more information about them on their website, with any questions or offers please contact their customer service.

Activation of RESnWEB - YieldPlanet connection

1. Preparing the extranets of YieldPlanet and RESnWEB

Follow YieldPlanet’s instructions to make the basic settings in the YieldPlanet extranet. All room types and rates you want to connect should be set in both systems.

IMPORTANT! As the connection is activated immediately by RESnWEB authorization and it is not beneficial if the connections are not made in short term, therefore it is important to contact our customer service to request authorization once the required room types and rates you want to connect have been created in both systems.

2. Sending of necessary data to RESnWEB customer service

Please send the following information to our customer service to authorize the connection:

  • the email address used to reach the YieldPlanet admin interface

  • the list of RESnWEB room types you want to connect

  • the names and identifiers of the RESnWEB packages you want to connect beside the BAR rate

3. Establishing a technical connection between RESnWEB and YieldPlanet

Our customer service will provide you a password consisting of a long string of characters to ensure a secure technical connection between RESnWEB and YieldPlanet. The password need to be set in the YieldPlanet admin interface in the Setup / Partners tab for the RESnWEB channel.

IMPORTANT! Please do not change this password, as this will cause the connection to break down.

4. Making the mapping of room types and rates in YieldPlanet admin interface

In YieldPlanet’s admin interface make the necessary room type and rate mappings in Setup/ Mappings table menu item and then synchronize the data to RESnWEB.

IMPORTANT! Each RESnWEB offer should be mapped to its own rate in YieldPlanet. In addition, RESnWEB can handle allotments on room type level, thus the allotments set for the BAR rate in YieldPlanet will apply to all promotional and fix priced packages.

Create new mapping

Knowing that RESnWEB is based on occupancy based pricing method, we recommend to choose the 2nd option - occupancy based pricing method in YieldPlanet as well. To activate it, please contact YieldPlanet’s customer service, room based pricing method is available by default in YieldPlanet.

  1. Room based pricing method

If room based (room / night) pricing is used in the YieldPlanet admin interface, the data must be transferred corresponding to RESnWEB’s occupancy based pricing, which also determines the way of the mappings are made.

Select the RESnWEB channel and choose the Add new mapping option in Setup / Mappings Table menu item. In the pop-up window, set up the mappings, i.e. which YieldPlanet room type and rate correspond to which RESnWEB room type and rate. Since YieldPlanet handles room / night prices and RESnWEB works based on occupancy based pricing, the RESnWEB - YieldPlanet connection requires that for each rate, the headcount prices are defined in separate lines in the mapping. If the Standard room can be booked for both 1 and 2 persons, you will need to create two mappings, in Partner Room line should be an STD for: 2PAX and an STD: for 1 PAX mapping.

We recommend that you enter the price for 2 persons as the room / night price in YieldPlanet under Prices and Availability / Prices, Allotments, Restrictions menu item and derive the price for the other occupancies from this 2 persons / room / night price when you add the new mappings.

The derivation of the prices for the other occupancies (how the system should calculate the price for the other occupancies in relation to the 2 persons’ price) can be set in Formula line. Here you have the possibility to increase or decrease the initial (in our case 2 persons’) price by a fixed amount or percentage.

Derivation of the prices per persons from the defined room / night price (e.g. from 2 persons’ price)

In the Setup / Mappings table choose the Edit option in the given price row and you can enter the price calculation in the Formula row of the pop-up window.

Example of mappings for room / night pricing:

2. Occupancy based pricing method

Select the RESnWEB channel and choose the Add new mapping option in Setup / Mappings Table menu item. In the pop-up window, set up the mappings, i.e. which YieldPlanet room type and rate correspond to which RESnWEB room type and rate.

For the room types in YieldPlanet, the number of persons need to also be selected, so if the Standard room can be booked for 1 and 2 persons, 2 mapping links per rate will be required.

Example of mappings for occupancy based pricing:

5. Checking the connection

You will be able to check the prices received in the Prices & Planning / CHM prices menu item, the allotments (number of available rooms) and the restrictions in the Prices & Planning / Planning menu item.

Please also make test bookings and check that they are transferred to YieldPlanet correctly.
